The Loudon County Concert Band is a volunteer, community group of nearly 50 musicians from Loudon County and the surrounding area. Under the musical direction of David Whipple, Jr., the band plays a variety of concert band literature including seasonal music, thematic pieces, songs from film and Broadway, patriotic marches, arrangements of music from composers like Leroy Anderson, George Gershwin and Aaron Copeland, as well as original works composed for concert band.

The band is truly a multigenerational group of musicians and is always looking for new members. The band welcomes anyone high school aged and up who plays a wind or percussion instrument. The band does play some challenging music and is, therefore, not for beginning instrumentalists. We do not require members to be able to play at a professional level, however, they should be able to show competency in their musical skill and ability. We do encourage anyone who has experience playing in a band, even though it may have been a few years, to contact us and consider joining us. We rehearse on Thursday evenings at 6:30 in the music suite of the Community Church at Tellico Village. The Loudon County Concert Band, LTD is a Non-Profit 501(c)(3) organization and relies solely on the financial contributions of individuals and businesses to operate.
