The Loudon County Concert Band is pleased to announce their upcoming Spring concert for Friday, March 28, 2025. The theme of the concert is Timeless – Music that Lasts. The concert will be held at the Community Church at Tellico Village, 130 Chota Ctr, Loudon, TN 37774. The concert will feature outstanding arrangements of music that is “timeless” in nature and continues to be enjoyed through the ages. The concert will include Toccata and Fugue in D minor by Johann Sebastian Bach, the 1812 Overture by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, and the 2nd Suite for Military Band in F Major, opus 28 by Gustov Holst. The concert will also feature music from film and theater, including Ben Hur, from the epic 1959 Academy Award and Golden Globe winning film of the same name, the beautiful Gabriel’s Oboe from the 1986 Academy Award winning film, The Mission, a medley of songs from the Broadway musical, Phantom of the Opera, and 76 Trombones from the award-winning Broadway musical and film, The Music Man. The concert will also feature the outstanding marimba soloist, Dr. Caitlin Jones, from Lee University. Tickets for “Timeless” – Music that Lasts are $12.00 in advance or $15.00 at the door.
