Shangri-La Therapeutic Academy of Riding invites you to a retirement gathering in honor of Founder and Executive Director Emeritus Lynn Petr. The event is slated for Thursday, Dec. 18 from 4 - 7 p.m. at STAR.

We welcome all friends of the founder to come by for a drop-in celebration as we thank and celebrate Lynn Petr for her 38 years of vision, service, and leadership at STAR.

As we prepare for our founder Lynn Petr’s upcoming retirement gathering, we want to take a moment to honor the heart and vision that started it all. Lynn’s leadership, drive, and passion have shaped STAR into the special place it is today — a community where horses and humans work together to learn, grow, and discover what's possible.

To help celebrate her incredible legacy, we’ve set up a place for you to share your messages, memories, and thanks with Lynn.

You’re invited to stop by STAR and leave a card or note in a designated box for Lynn, located in the Barn. Stationery is available or you may bring your own.

If you are unable to visit in person, you may also mail your letter to our office at:

All letters will be given to her during her retirement gathering.
