Charity Chicks, a collective of real estate, mortgage and entrepreneurial women, visit the Grannies of Wesley House Community Center several times a year to provide a luncheon. The Wellness In Senior Education, or WISE, program provides food, fun, and fellowship to under-served senior citizens. The seniors, or Grannies as we like to call them, gather on Fridays for a noon meal, fellowship, and their favorite game, BINGO! Throughout the year, Wesley House staff stays connected with the Grannies by assisting with day-to-day needs and addressing issues of social isolation.  

These seniors live in subsidized housing in the Beaumont, Lonsdale and Mechanicsville area and are on fixed incomes. Household basics are luxury items for these ladies. They play BINGO for prizes like toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, trash bags, cleaning supplies, toiletries and coffee. Things we often take for granted! I am seeking donations for BINGO prizes for our Valentine's Day luncheon. I am happy to come pick them up from you!
